Beloved, Don't you understand? we reign in OVERWHELMING VICTORY (1John 5:4, Roman's 8:37, Revelation 21:4). Just like David, if I may ask, have you ever been in a situation, where people you assisted, supported, fuel their successes, dreams and aspirations. People you so cherished and loved are the ones making the headlines for your down fall with their calumny, that are maliciously crafted and reported against you? This was David's experience. Absalom his own son and Shemei his friend and many others.
These are people who were major benefactors of your care, prayers, goodwill, kindness, generosity and benevolence.
They will go to any lenght, stop at nothing less to bring reproach to your person and tears in your eyes.
Suprisedly, folks whose vioces were the loudest in singing your praise suddenly and demonically metamorphosed into your defamers, libelers, maligners, vilifiers, and traducers.
They speak falsehood in confidence with malicious intent to attack the good name and hard earned reputation you've labored to build over the years. They vituperate your yesterday's mistakes and antagonize your gentility. Spreading falsified negative informations about your personality.

Beloved, Just like David we may also find ourselves at some point in time of our lives in situations like this, but what do we do? Retaliate? No! Forgive and Forget, show love at all times, move on with your good works, learn from your mistakes, challenge yourself and do better.
In Conclusion, "But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere" Corinthians 2:14 (AMP).
