Christianity is not just deliverance from the guilt and the penalty of sin but also from the power of sin. Guilt is removed so we can access grace.

It's not only about the mercy of God through which sins are forgiven but it's also about the grace of God through which the life of Christ is made manifest in our mortal flesh.

He died as the penalty for all our sins and He lives that His life may be visible through us. The world is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God that they might be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the sons of God.

The new covenant is not only about the mercy of God whereby He says "their sins and iniquities will I remember no more" it is also about His grace at work whereby He says "I will put my laws into their minds and write them in their heart"(Hebrews 8:10-13).

Let us not only preach what his death procured but also what His resurrection has established.

As we cannot walk on one leg neither can a bird fly with one wing, God has taught through creation the power of balance. There is a legal side to our salvation and also a vital side. There is no point in a natural father leaving an inheritance if his children will not walk in that inheritance.

We don't want to meet God in heaven as the prodigal son who wasted his life on the earth saying I have a merciful God who won't reject me. Eternity without any rewards.
