Nigerians can see N1 now equal to $1, Nigerians now gainfully employed, no more hunger in NIGERIA - Gov Wike mocks Buhari, APC

THE governor of Rivers state, Nyesome Wike has reminded Nigerians of President Muhammadu Buhari political campaign to make N1 equal in value to $1.

He said this during the commissioning by former President Goodluck Jonathan of the second phase of Nkpogu bridge constructed by the Rivers State government.

Mocking President Buhari and the APC-led Federal Government on their inability to deliver on their political promises, the Rivers State Governor said, the Nigerian Naira is now equal in value to one US dollar and all Nigerians are now gainfully employed while people no longer die of hunger.

He said, “The party in power told Nigerians that if they were voted in, they would make N1 to be equal to $1. I hope that Nigerians now see that N1 is equal to $1. Is that correct?

Recall in the build-up to the 2015 federal elections, Buhari and his party,  the All Progressives Congress as part of campaign promises did promise to provide employment to all Nigerians within two year, a campaign promise which Governor wike said they could not fulfill which has resulted in hunger and frustration.

He added, ''They said they will make sure that everybody gets employment. I am sure that some of us who are here have all gotten employment. They said that they are going to make life better for Nigerians I hope that we are no longer dying of hunger.”
